Journal Article - Sibling Relationships and Developmental Disability Services: From Coerced Care to Entitlement
I’m thrilled to share that our article on supporting people with intellectual disabilities has just been published in Disability Studies Quarterly!
Co-authored by Dr. Natalie Spagnuolo, Dr. Josée Boulanger, and myself (Helen Ries), this article was a true labour of love—driven not by funding or obligation, but by passion and a deep commitment to advocacy. I am very proud of this work.
This collaboration was unlike anything I’ve experienced. The persistence, determination, and mutual respect among us made this the most inspiring team I’ve ever worked with.
